I am not HOLLOW!

I happened across this article in Yahoo! News today.
Some Europeans Aren't Fans of Halloween I could agree with the complaints of commercialism but Rev. Giordano Frosini has to take it easy. He said, "Pumpkins show [America's] emptiness." Dang, that was harsh. I could relate to his opinion that Halloween was "an expression of American cultural supremacy" but the pumpkin comment was (for lack of a better word) cutting.

To be honest, I never thought that the rest of the world did Halloween and I can understand why they don't want to allow it to seep into their customs. I am sure that many cultures (in addition to Europe) feel this way about our overall dominance whether it's economical, ecological or culturally.

iTunes Japan

Last night I was surfing iTunes and I remembered that they opened the iTunes Japan! I forgot how excited I am about the Japan iTunes store. I can now listen to samples of the songs and order the tracks from YesAsia.com. I was lucky that Tofu Records released L'arc~en~ciel's new CD Awake. I forgot to preorder it on YesAsia but it was good since I got it for $20 less.

I kinda wish I could purchase from iTunes Japan but then again, if I get the CD - it 100% chocolate (music goodness) with 0% fat (DRM)!!

Speeding DS style

This past Friday, my sister's b-friend (together they form the Sibs) was pulled over by a cop. The officer spent a few good minutes explaining had the "Sib 2" not remained in the left lane and had moved into the center lane while remaining in the mid-60's, he would not have been pulled over.

Apparently, the officer was after someone who was driving over 75mph but due to bad timing we were the ones sitting on the side of the road. As always, "Sib 2" was respectful and after the officer finished his lecture, he asked to see what I playing on my DS (I was in the back the whole time playing "SPRUNG"). I showed him and he told us he wanted to see it since he has a PSP and then he said good night.

He went back to the car and I was asked if he was writing the ticket. The Sibs told me no. At that point, Sib 2 said that I guess wasnt a good time to debate which one was better! lol
