And now my opinion on GTA: San Andreas
GTA: San Andreas is just a scapegoat. I think that parents have to start educating themselves - whether they are 16 or 65. The game is rated M "For Mature" for a reason. If you brought the game and your 10 year old is playing it - it's on you! If they have a Gameshark and access the hidden sex mini-game - it's on you! There are tons of magazines with reviews and the internet gives you FREE access to reviews - PARENTS, you have no excuse!! Most stores ID for the game! HELLO! THAT'S A CLUE FOR THE CLUELESS!!
I have been playing GTA: San Andreas (which I love and was ID'd for) and I have to say that there are things that go on that only some adults would understand. (Somethings that happen in the game are not to my liking but it's part of the mission and I would not slit someone's throat for a book of rhymes in real life.) Ok, there's murder, prostitution, car-jacking and robbing which is not much different from GTA3 or Vice City.
Alot of people who complain about the game has never played it (most likely Hillary) and I have to say that if they had they may like it for themselves but once again, not their underage grandchild or kid.
Now let's get to the "Hot Coffee" mod. I have seen the video and as a gamer I can not see what purpose the sex serves in a game. It does not add an iota of fun - it's worst than going to the gym (in the game). It's the worst example of button mashing I could imagine. I actually find it disappointing that the programmers of such an innovative, extensive and creative game would stoop to these depths. Someone needs to grow up on that programming team!
Hmmm, now I have a confession to make. When the GTA 3 came out, my sister was working at a gamestore and she told me that I had to try it. I told her that I was not into that kind of stuff (see above). She loaned me her copy and said just try it. Let's just say that she had to ask for it back. I told her she could only have it if I got it for Christmas. Needless to say, I did and the rest is gaming history.
Well that's it for now. PEACE and GROVE ST. 4 Life! ::winking::
